Brilliant piece of software. Builds bootable iso images of a system and 
can optionally burn to dvd or multiple cd's etc etc.

Allows for bare metal recovery with all hardware drivers available as 
built from the system.

BackupPC could grab the generated ISO file for you if you wanted to keep 
multiple copies. On all my systems though, i burn direct to quality 
dvd+rw disks.
