Jean-Gérard,

did you ever solve your problem? I'm using a package called xtar that
correctly handles OS X resource forks, but it would be great to use
rsync instead.

Does anyone know if Leopard's rync plays nicer with linux rsync?

Almost all of my clients are currently OS X 10.4, but eventually they
will be 10.5

thanks for your time and insights,

Matthew
