After a while, it complains about network access problem.
What does the xinetd and messages logfile says?
Is there xinetd process still running? There should only be one xinetd
process.
# ps axf | grep xinetd
Is xinetd still listening on the ports you configured it?
# netstat -taunp | grep xinetd
