What's the output of ldd?
ldd /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/auto/Amanda/Types/libTypes.so

And if it doesn't exist in that location, then that's your problem.
If so, you can try to convince amanda/perl to look for it
elsewhere or install it to the expected location.
