/opt/amanda/amanda2/sbin/amgetconf stk_80-conf2 tapedev
/hw/tape/tps22d2nrnsv

No debug files for amfetchdump. That gave me the tip: I had
seen this before on a test config. A mix of 2 different config
apparantly as I found the amfetchdump.*.debug files in
/tmp/amanda-spantest/server/stk_80-conf2. My mistake.
I distcleaned and recompiled from scratch just to be sure.
I have appended the amfetchdump debug file just in case.
amfetcdump just stops after reaching the end of the first tape:

./icbm/inv_xfm/mni_icbm_00241_t1_nl_118_step4.xfm
./icbm/inv_xfm/mni_icbm_00241_t1_nl_118_step4_grid_0.mnc
could not fsf /hw/tape/tps22d2nrnsv: No space left on device
amfetchdump: could not fsf /hw/tape/tps22d2nrnsv: No space left on device
/usr/freeware/bin/tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
/usr/freeware/bin/tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
/usr/freeware/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

I'm must be missing something right in front of my eyes...
