A couple of things to check, maybe.  When you did the upgrade was an 
ldconfig done as the last thing, or very close to last in order to 
refresh the library linkages correctly?  It shouldn't hurt to do it again 
by hand, as root, just to check.

And are these ports actually open to these protocols according to the 
firewall rules?  I believe that ip_conntrack must be loaded if other 
posters are correct.
