Well the strange think is my client have 30GB disk but gtar calculates
1.1TiB disk space.

What OS/distro are you running, and on what architecture? Is /var in the / partition?

The usual cause for a wild estimate like that is a ginormous sparse file, such as /var/log/lastlog sometimes is on 64bit Linux systems.

But I thought the newer tars handled that properly...
