"ROM", when you say "cygwin defaults", is that a set of packages,
or do you mean just the cygwin dll itself? If packages, I
presume the defaults include the tar package :)
I mean using the setup program without changing anything.
And yes, in the defaults the tar package is included, as even the gzip
package.
