After asking amrecover to extract some files the
converstation goes something like:

   Load tape XXX-09 now
   Continue [?/Y/n/s/t]? _

Y is the default, yes continue,
n for no, do not continue (I guess abort)
s for skip this tape

I suppose "?" is for "help", though I've never tried it

But what is "t"?  And when would it be used?
