Firewall problems with Amanda

Hi All,
I know this has come up a lot with amanda, but I have followed what I have
read and still have issues backing up clients located behind a firewall.
My server is in the internal network and the client is behind the firewall.
I receive the following error and very little else.
/home lev 0 FAILED [mesg read: Connection timed out]
My server is configured with the following config statement:
./configure --prefix /opt/backups --with-user=<amandaUser>
--with-group=<amandaGroup> --with-smbclient=/usr/bin/smbclient
--with-gnutar=/bin/tar
--with-gnutar-listdir=/opt/backups/var/amanda/gnutar-lists/
--with-index-server=<amandaServerName> --with-tape-server=<amandaServerName>
--with-tape-device=/dev/nst0 --with-portrange=850,859
--with-udpportrange=850,859
My Client is configured with the following config statement:
./configure --prefix=/opt/backups --with-user=<amandaUser>
--with-group=amandaGroup> --with-gnutar=/bin/tar --without-server
--with-portrange=850,859 --with-udpportrange=850,859
My firewall has the following ports open:
10080, 10082, 10083, 850 ? 859 (UDP & TCP in both directions between client
and server)
The version of Amanda is Amanda-2.4.5p1.
Does anybody have any ideas of what I am missing here, please?
