The client has no firewall and the server has this:

Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination
ACCEPT     all  --  0.0.0.0/0            0.0.0.0/0           PHYSDEV match
--physdev-in vif1.0
ACCEPT     all  --  0.0.0.0/0            0.0.0.0/0           PHYSDEV match
--physdev-in vif2.0
ACCEPT     all  --  0.0.0.0/0            0.0.0.0/0           PHYSDEV match
--physdev-in vif3.0

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Those rules are related to Xen.
