  Thanks for the reply!

  Sorry, I forgot to give the usual rundown of version numbers! The Amanda
server is running Amanda 2.4.4p3-1 on CentOS 4.2 (binary compatable with
RedHat Advanced Server). This is the server which has the tape drive and
Amanda server. Samba client is 3.0.21-2. All installed from RPM.

  I am trying to 'pull' files from 2kserver, which is Windows 2000.
