If the directories "index" and "curinfo" exist and are
writable/executable by the amanda user, the subdirs will
be created by amanda during the dump.

If you are concerned about the "NOTE" from amcheck, that
is just a message to alert you that you have a disklist
entry that appears to never have been dumped before.

Also check that you have the "index ??yes??" parameter
set correctly in your config file and if you have
infodir and indexdir set they point to the correct path.
