In the sendsize request Amanda can ask for a level 0, level X, and
level X+1, dump.  That could be two or three estimates, depending on
the previous run (e.g. no need to ask for level 2, when a we only have
a level 0 to base on).

ps - ^X^C sounds very familiar from a very long time ago, what is it?
