I changed my OS from Red Hat 8 to AS 3.1 and now amanda gives me
this errror. I upgraded to the latest release, 2.4.5, but it
didn't help. Nothing in the /tmp/amanda directory helps, amcheck
runs fine. Does anyone have any ideas?
Seems like planner failed.
Planner is separate program that produces it's output to stdout.
To test it, make a little disklist file with a small number of fast
filesystems, then as user amanda, cd to the directory where
the amdump.XX files for that config are found, and execute it
giving full path, e.g.:
/usr/local/libexec/planner TheConfig
The stderr is normally logged in the amdump file, and the
stdout contain instructions, one per line for driver, also
a separate program.
Maybe it coredumps or has trouble finding some libraries.
I got a coredumpt when I tried to amanda 2.4.5 compiled with gcc 2.95.3.
That was probably a compiler bug, because compiling it with any gcc 3
that I have access to, gives no problems.
