amanda work for me for a few weeks when today amcheck reported
this error with the amandad:

When I did a ps check for amandad I got the following:

amanda  6163 0.0 0.3 2296 844 ? Ss   18:29   0:00 amandad
amanda  6165 0.0 0.0    0   0 ? Z    18:29   0:00 [amandad] <defunct>
                                                             ___^___

Does <defunct> means that there's something wrong with amandad or
could there be some other problem.
