Amanda (the software, not the poster) wants to know how much data
the tape can hold, NOT how much compressed data.  It wants to know
the quantity of 0 and 1 bits that can be written to the tape,
NOT how many bytes of user data can be compressed into those bits.

Turn compression off and rerun your test.
