More information:
Here is my amandad line
in /etc/inetd.conf:
amanda dgram udp
wait amanda /usr/lib/amanda/amandad amandad
Performing either:
lsof | grep 10080
or
lsof | grep amanda
Gives nothing back.
Thus I am presuming
Amanda is not starting at start up. (I have rebooted after editing my
inetd.conf)
I see from this guide http://amanda.sourceforge.net/fom-serve/cache/140.html
that I need to edit /etc/services or my NIS
map.
I do not have an
etc/services (I’m using SuSE 8.2) and I don’t know how to edit my NIS map.
-- Can anyone help?! I’m
99.9% there :(
