Amanda needs to know as which user it should run later,
e.g. amanda, backup,
 operator or similar (usually take amanda and create that
user with group 
operator or backup)
next problem would be --with-group=GROUP missing.......,
here applies the same.
The group needs read access to the raw device files and to
all disks you want to 
back up, so it must be something special. Check your
/etc/group file and devices 
for this.
