No, none were created for "backup". Do I have to completely erase the
tape and all info amanda remembers to make it do this?

Well, I just posted about the disk on "backup" always failing... that
could be it.

No, I'm referencing the name as "backup". The .local is part of the
FQDN they use on their internal network.
