That would be a good explanation. But where can I see the amount of data
it got? The backups aren't on holding disk either, so it seems that many
disks (dirs) are not getting backed up at all.

"Tape size" "Tape Used" and "Output size" at least, look weird to me.
And *way* smaller than they are in the successful reports (I have most
of them saved).
Also, at the bottom summary, the succesful ones' sizes look like they
add up to about 3G unless I'm missing something or counting wrong.

That's another weird bit but that's the disk that says "out of tape" at
the start summary.
