sendbackup problems amanda 2.4.3... and time out.

Hi,
I am having trouble with an FreeBSD amanda client and sendbackup. The
problem does not seem to affect any of the other BSD and Linux clients.
I am not doing any packet filtering, nor port blocking, and for test
purposes inetd is running without tcp-wrappers. Any idea what might be
causing this particular problem. Also is there any way to do a test
backup without having to go through all of my backup tapes only to find
that the connection timed out?
Thanks
