What would happen if max restore sessions was increased?

As an example, our production sap box has max_back_sessions set to 1. However, 
we are restoring the data to another machine. I find the restore very slow and 
often stuck in a state of SENDW.

Can we possibly increase the max_restore_sessions to 2 or 3 (We have enough 
mount points) , or, does the max_restore_ssesions have to match maxbacksessions?
