I _think_ I read somewhere that the upgrade should:

1- save all db2 instances
2- deinstall db2 9.5 (and TSM 6.1)
3- install db2 9.7 (and TSM 6.2)
4- run db2icrt on the instances saved
5- run some db2 commands to re-catalog the database

of course I could very well be wrong.
