Richard..Thanks

I think I know what caused this to happen at least the first time..I
will explain later. I have re-installed the client however I get this
when I try to restore and
yes, I did a query backup command and there are files

dsmc restore -fromnode=spvirt104 "/vjspiitint/.../*" -subdir=yes
"/vjspiriint/"

ANS1247I Waiting for files from the server...
ANS1302E No objects on server match query

Thanks

I noticed the dsmc file still shows zero (0) bytes . I believe this has
something to do with my issue is there any way this file can be recreated?

Well, you could restore it... :-)

But seriously - when you encounter any situation as bizarre as this, look into
the cause. Something VERY wrong is going on there. Do not proceed without
finding out what caused it, or how much other damage it did. Once that is
straightened out, you'll obviously have to reinstall the client.
