Compromise:  Go to TSM 5.5 and use the 5.4 client on older machines.
TSM 6.1 from what I'm hearing, isn't exactly an environment I'd want to
go to at the moment.  And, you can, as Wanda has said, use the 6.1
clients where it makes sense to.
