I suppose the original intent was to eject or use exports relatively
quickly so you wouldn't keep a history.   If you were to keep them, the
idea would be to eject/label/separate them so you wouldn't need them in
the volhist.

Look at the DELETE VOLHIST entry on here:
http://people.bu.edu/rbs/ADSM.QuickFacts

You might be able to do an undocumented "DELETE VOLHIST type=export
volume=VOLSER  force=yes"

I would want to try this on a test system first or at least make a
separate volhist backup before experimenting.
