We have 10 tape drives, and two instances with a total of 16 onsite and offsite 
tape pools. In addition, we use Commonstore for mail. We get frequent 
complaints from users that their mail retrievals are very slow. Most of the 
time, they go back a few years and this data is on tape. When checking both 
instances we see that reclamations are running and hogging the tape drives, in 
addition to any miscellaneous restores that may have be initiated and 
Commonstore joins the queue. Aside from limiting the number of reclamation 
processes initiated by each tape pool and maybe using reclaim stgpool to put a 
duration, has anyone else had to deal with Commonstore retrieval issues ?

Server : TSM 5.3.5.2 on AIX 5.2 ML9
Currently have a 3494 library with 10 X 3590 tape drives. Migrating in the next 
few months to an SL85000 with 8 tape drives.
