Does anyone currently use TSM to support multiple customers? I am
looking into TSM for a new shared backup service infrastructure and
would like to know if anyone is currently doing this and what type of an
environment they have to support the what can be rapid growth in a Data
Center.

I am most likely going to create a standard of backups and only do
archives on a request basis. I do see some customers wanting HSM. I
also see that I will need to support restores at any hour of the day.

Some of my concerns are.

 1. How can you limit the number of jobs that would fail because they
can not get a session? In a scenario that I currently support for a
customer I see this as a problem when you have hundreds of servers to
support.

2. How many clients can a single server control effectively?

3. How do others in this scenario do billing back to customers?

That is just where I am starting at, I am up for any input or thoughts.

Thanks ahead of time

Nick
