Well, an offsite disaster recovery tape set is a copy pool, and I
suspect that many companies would desire to recover from a disaster.
Perhaps the IBM rep means an onsite copy of data? In any case, no
technology is infallible, so...
I doubt that TSM management would agree with that rep. Nor would IBM
Marketing, I imagine, as IBM does sell tapes. ;-)
