are you also the AIX admin ? per what your are stating in yr emails that
you have performed all the TSM steps by the "book", then there is something
from the library interface to AIX that is not allowing TSM to properly
handshake and access /dev/smc0... does AIX has all the latest ptfs (scsi,
fiber, etc.) ? the fact that lsdev works is not securing 100% that you have
the proper ptfs... have you rebooted the physical AIX server ? also have
you tried to change the main/1st cable that connects the library with yr
physical AIX server ? Have you called IBM hardware support, has a CE
reviewed yr problem ?
