I´m trying to back up Data via UNC from a W2K TSM-Client Version 5.1.6.0.
We set up the services under a domain-account with 'Backup Operator'
privileges plus requirements from the Redbook for Manage auditing and
security log privileges. The User has local admin rights on the machine
running the TSM-Client as suggested by tivoli support.
I have no exclusions in the optfile or the clopt whatsoever.
What stuns me is: when I backup the UNC-share, I get all the files (would
normally make me happy) but none of the directories (which on the other
hand frustrates me, as it renders the backup useless for restore).

29.01.2004 14:37:41 ANS1228E Sending of object '\\xxx\share$\New
Folder\SSC\SYSTEM' failed
29.01.2004 14:37:41 ANS1449E A required NT privilege is not held
My domain admin temporarily made the Backup Operator-user local admin
running the share, and presto, it worked ( Would make me happy). I'm afraid
I won't be able to persuade him to give me this privilege on the production
machine though.
Has anyone come upon this problem, and is there any circumventions. If
anyone could share$ his expertise and thougths...
