Folks, I am getting a server that fails it's backups. It appears to "hang"
for days if you let it (and it has on one weekend). In the past, I have had
similar errors and found that the NIC had been set to 100MBit and half
duplex, which does not match the switch. I set it to full duplex and the
server was happy. This time, the NIC properties are set correctly, as far
as I can tell. Here is am exert from the error log:

02/22/2003 03:55:35 TcpRead(): recv(): errno = 10058
02/22/2003 03:55:35 sessRecvVerb: Error -50 from call to 'readRtn'.
02/22/2003 05:36:26 TcpRead(): recv(): errno = 10058
02/22/2003 05:36:26 sessRecvVerb: Error -50 from call to 'readRtn'.
02/22/2003 06:13:30 TcpRead(): recv(): errno = 10058
02/22/2003 06:13:30 sessRecvVerb: Error -50 from call to 'readRtn'.
02/23/2003 00:24:09 GetBackupStreamSize(C:\pagefile.sys): uc_CreateFile():
Win32 RC = 32.
02/23/2003 00:24:09 TransWin32RC(): Win32 RC 32 from GetBackupStreamSize():
uc_CreateFile
02/23/2003 00:24:09 TransWin32RC(): Win32 RC 32 from fioGetAttrib():
GetBackupStreamInfo

I received no hits on IBM's website (like you can find anything anymore) and
nothing through Google except for one posting that told the gentleman to try
our beloved list serv. He posted back a reply that said he had heard
nothing, thus far. So, I am posting one myself and see what we get. Thank
you all in advance.

Regards,
