Tom,

The mlc for tsm on os/390 doesn't change when you upgrade
from 3.7 to 4.1.

We also looked into offloading the server to AIX, but there was a
steep initial price and then a support charge per client which
is close to the MLC you pay on the mainframe.

This url has a 'points calculator' which is how you would
license and pay for an aix sever and all the clients.  You need to
login, but you can get a free id and password from Tivoli.
