I'm just curious, did you ever think about using a shared library with this
solution.  We had 3 TSM instances on one server and I had one own the
library.  The other 2 shared the library.  All, checkin's, checkout's were
done on the same instance.

I'm not sure how DRM will handle this but it must because shared libraries
are supported.

In our environment we didn't have DRM so we just q vol acc=readw stg=off* on
each instance and then got a list of volumes to check out.  Then we checked
them all out and in through the one instance.

The whole library sharing went pretty slick.  The only reason we didn't move
this solution to production was because we ended up going with STK
Powderhorn libraries using Libstation (ACSLS on the mainframe).  In this
solution none of the instances own the library so there are no checkin's or
outs.
