USAA took part in the beta test of the extended length media. Although I
didn't have a formal part in this beta test I can recall that some drive
modifications took place including an upgrade of the microcode, but the
drives were essentially B1A's.

I dont' believe our tests were exhaustive. We basically just made sure that
we could write to and read from the media and also checked the capacity of
the media once it had reached full status. The only problem that we came
across was the microcode update which our CE had forgotten to apply. Once it
was in place everything worked well.
