Requires new media (longer, thinner tape) and modifications/upgrades to 3590
drives (drive needs to be able to detect different media types (standard, E,
EE types) and be able to make adjustments (such as air bearing flow
requirements, etc) based on the media.

I would think that as long as your ESTCAP and MAXCAP values don't constrain
how media is filled, no adjustments are needed here, however, once you start
creating the extended tapes you have to make sure that they only get mounted
on capable drives (I would think you would upgrade all your drives at once).

Note that due to the length of the tape (2X times), average search times
will be doubled.
