Environment: Solaris & Oracle

The only way to perform a correct EBU restore is
specifying the option use_io_model, like this:

restore database consistent
  db_name=testy2k
  log=./rs_db_con.log
  use_io_model=shm

Anybody knows what this option mean and if it produce
any kind of conflict with the databases semaphores?

There are any alternative method to run correctly the
EBU restores in this environment?
