Logan,
I also noticed that you're using 3.1.2.30 of ADSM. This version was
withdrawn by IBM due to severe problems with expiration. I suggest that you
upgrade to at least 3.1.2.40 or alternatively downgrade to 3.1.2.20 (unless
you require specific device support included in 3.1.2.40). If you don't do
this soon, your ADSM database will start growing at a scarey rate.

To backup the db, I issued the following commands on the server
console:

type=full vol=backup
ANR0984I Process 35 for DATABASE BACKUP started in the BACKGROUND at
14:16:07.
ANR2280I Full database backup started as process 35.
adsm>
ANR4571E Database backup/restore terminated - insufficient number of
mount
points available for removable media.
ANR0985I Process 35 for DATABASE BACKUP running in the BACKGROUND
completed
with completion state FAILURE at 14:16:08.
