I have a client server that is backing up to ADSM. The client was recently
upgraded 3.1.0.7 and is using the Lotus Notes Connect Agent version 2.1.9.
At the time of installation the ADSM code tested out fine with a query of
the schedule and a manual incremental. Later that same day, the Domino
server crashed generating a rip pointing to DSMCSVC.EXE. The Domino server
was brought back up and then again on the next day this happened again. It
seemed coincide with the scheduler starting the incremental backup. Then
the client tried to again bring the Domino server up again and it crashed
with a rip pointing at LOGSVE.EXE. At this point the client proceeded to
backout on the upgrade and revert the server to where it was with the ADSM
code before the upgrade. All appears to be working now with this reverted
code.
The problem is that they are not sure what caused this as the same
procedure that was used to upgrade the ADSM code on this server was also
used on at least 5 other servers, which have shown no problems. There is a
schedule upgrade pending for all of these servers and what my question is,
Does anyone have an idea what may have caused these errors that crashed the
Domino server? Thanks.
