Nathan,

You could always use something like :

DUMPEL.EXE which comes with the NT Resource Kit.
Dumps event logs to a tab separated text file and ADSM would
back these up as normal files.
You could also make a DUMPEL.CMD command file and run as a
-PRESCHEDULECMD=DUMPEL.CMD
