I don't know what your original installation problem is.  I just want to
make a comment about 32 bit and 64 bit API on 3.1.0.7.  We started shipping
64 bit API with 3.1.0.7 release.  Oracle agent you are using doesn't use 64
bit API;  it uses 32 bit API.  So as long as you install 3.1.0.7 32 bit
API, you should be fine.
