Yes Debbie.

The following command is executed in (adev) to restore files that
were archived using the "archive" command.

ret -fromn=aprd -fromd=10/27/1999 -tod=10/27/1999 /aprd_filesystem/
/adev_filesystem/ -su=yes

Or, from the dsmc> prompt, enter help, then select 18(restore from
backup),
19(retrieve from archive). This will give you the syntax and options for
the restore and retrieve commands.

   (aprd) to a new file system on a development box, (adev).
   We are using AIX, ADSM server 3.1.2.30, and ADSM client 3.1.0.5
   Is it possible to restore a backup created on one machine to another
   machine?
