ADSM IDL definitions not found error.

ADSM Server version 3.1.2.20 running on AIX 4.1.5
Upon starting the ADSM Server, the following error msg was in the activity
log:
ANR4705W ADSM IDL definitions are not found. Please halt the adsmserv,
issue DSMSERV RUNFILE dsmserv.idl and restart the ADSM server.
I was unable to find any reference to this error message or to IDL
definitions in any of the ADSM manuals.
Does anyone have any knowledge of what these are and what the DSMSERV
RUNFILE dsmserv.idl does?
