If my dsm.sys has the value of subdir=yes and during a selective bkup I
only want to backup a sub-set of files
do I now need to state in the selective cmd that -subdir=no ? OR,
Which cmd is required to selectively backup all files that begin with
'filen' but none of the subdir that begin with
filen, if dsm.sys file has subdir=yes?

   dsmc selective /dir1/dir2/filen*
                           OR
   dsmc selective -subdir=no /dir1/dir2/filen*

and the advantages inherent in the dangers.

Hi Daniel,

The correct syntax should be /pres/ora_export/*
Remember in the 'overriding client options' to put
subdir=yes if you have other subdir's under this
directory.
