We are working on installing small automated tape libraries with ADSMNT. We
have been trialling the TL891,892 built by Digital but have run into a lot
of problems - related to Tape Density and more especially drive cleaning.
The automated tape cleaning mechanism of this tape drive appears to 'hang'
adsm. Shutting down ADSM and manually cleaning the drives does not appeal
to
me at all. Has anyone seen this happen before? Equally can anyone recommend
a reliable automated tape library solution for use with ADSM 3.1.2.0 on
Windows NT. We are not looking in the regions of 500->1.5Tb capacity.
