Hi, we've just tested ADSM servers using SCSI connected EMC for disk stg
pool, db etc. I'm told by those in the know that the problem with FC-AL
connectivity of these units today is to do with restricting which hosts on
the loop actually have access to the various disks....don't seem to be any
standards yet for that part of FC-AL but thats for a different mailing list
:)

In any case if your server can see the disk then ADSM can use it - there
doesn't seem to be anything too special about that part of using an EMC - it
all worked just fine on the SCSI connected ones. Guess its a matter of
getting the right FC-AL cards/drivers etc for the RS6K. I'd really like to
hear of your experiences of FC-AL/EMC/RS6K and ADSM when its all going as
I'm sure its going to hit us later this year.
