Hi Julie,

I'am sorry for your very sad ADSM expirience. I have a little question.
After your first attempts which didn't work, why did you not try a
normal restore from last incremental? I ask, because according our
Netware people they do not take special disater precaution. Because they
say 1. Install Netware (1/2 hour) 2. Install TCPIP (1/4 hour) 3. Install
ADSM (5 Minutes) and then Retore (hours). So they it takes less time to
install an little base for ADSM, than restore with arcserve.

I ask because, I thought with such a network you have (We have only 16MB
Tokenring and 3745) , a restore of 450'000 Files in 10 GB shouldn't take
so long.

I hope you will get a quick an possitive answer. I'm also interestet in
the response because we use a similar recovery process for our
UNIX-Servers.

If this process as you discribe it, does not work, this means for me to
throw away ADSM and take an other product, because such situations are
not supportable. I also like ADSM very much, but if it does not work,
I'm sorry for him.....
