Craig, you'll find that it adds about as much time per file as it takes to
write the message that it's done the update. If you are running verbose, the
messages just scroll by. So, the answer is as usual: "It depends" - on the
number of files in the filespace that is being backed up. In any case, it's
seconds to minutes; not hours to days.

Hi,

   I am running 97 clients, mostly NT and AIX.  I understand that when
upgrading the client from V2 to V3, the format of the stored backup
copies is changed during the first backup after the upgrade.  Can anyone
tell me how much time this process added to your usual backup
performance?  Just a general idea of what I can expect would be greatly
appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
