Michael try this: I am assuming you are restoring to UNIX client based on
the file filename specification.

You may need to specify subdirectory equals yes...

res -su=yes -lat "/usr/local/openingres"

If you have space on your UNIX client, restore the files to a temp
directory to check file integrity,

res -su=yes -lat "/usr/local/openingres" /tmp/openingres

Check your domain, include-exclude statements in your dsm.sys file just to
be sure you are backing up the information you want.

        hello all,

we are trying to restore some directory & the files within them. we have a
3466(AIX) I am using the following command:

res -lat /usr/local/openingres/

It seems to restore some files but not all....why????

Is there a parameter or something I need to specify?

Thanks
